Feeling springy?

Hello lovely people,

Firstly I want to say thank you to Sharon for becoming my latest follower – it’s lovely to have you along 🙂

I hope you all had a good ‘hump’ day 🙂  I am lucky that I don’t work Wednesdays but I didn’t think I would have much time for crafting today as I had a number of chores to do like shopping 😦 The weather was kind enough to let me pop out into the garden and do a little more tidying and plant my seed potatoes.  My broad bean seeds are now sprouting and the garden is full of hellebores, pulmonaria and primroses so it is feeling a lot more spring-like now – yay!

So, this is a card I made for Mother’s Day and it is aptly spring-like…

Spring bear angle

This was for my mother and I tried to keep to a ‘clean’ style that I know she likes.  Did you spot my wandering pearl?!  I finished the card and took the pictures in a bit of a rush and totally didn’t notice it – sorry Mum for the imperfection!

I have coloured the gorgeous LOTV stamp with ProMarkers and the flower centres have a little dash of Frosted Lace Stickles on them.

I have used a new stamp from LOTV and isn’t this little bear a cutie?

Red and Green

Hello lovely people,

This is another lovely LOTV stamp that is a few years old but soooo gorgeous and I thought it would go perfectly with the traditional red and green colours of my beautiful new Maja paper.

bunnies and tree

I have added some white glitter shaken into Glossy Accents on the snow at the bottom but you can’t really see it in the photos; it is quite pretty in real life, honest!

Little helpers

Hello lovely people,

Here is another simple Christmas card using a sweet digital stamp from Pink Petticoat, which I have coloured with ProMarkers.

trees and robins

I have added little spots of glitter over the dots around the stars but could not get it to show up very well in the photos.  Maybe you can just about see it here, if you squint(!);

A pastel Christmas card

Hello lovely people,

I have been busy creating some simple Christmas cards that I could easily mass produce so I wanted to do something that was a bit more effort, using my all time favourite LOTV Christmas stamp.  I used pastel colours to fit the theme at Lili’s Little Fairies Challenge and this sketch from the Papertake Weekly Challenge as my layout inspiration;

https://i0.wp.com/4.bp.blogspot.com/-aS0KzTIWpD4/Tv42iWT1kyI/AAAAAAAAMNM/mmocJ5IRfVs/s400/sketch+%252365.jpg

I haven’t done many pastel Christmas cards but loved how this one came out especially with the edges distressed with sandpaper and some stitching.

pastel bunnies

I have used ProMarkers to colour the image; don’t you just love the sweet little bunnies all snuggled up in their stocking?!

Card recipe;

DP: Pion Design (Silent Night collection – available from Dies to Die For)

Lace: from The Ribbon Girl

Seam Binding: from Crafty Ribbons

1) Lili’s Little Fairies (pastel colours)

2) Papertake Weekly (sketch #65)

3) Passion for ProMarkers (distressing)

4) Die-ing for a Challenge (Christmas)

Don’t be square!

Hello lovely people,

Wow, I don’t often manage 2 blog posts in a day, but here I am again!  This time I am sharing my card for the Totally Gorjuss Challenge, which is to make anything but a square card.  I have gone for a little wintery scene on a circle card.  I love how the little button/pearl tree came out 🙂

Card recipe;

Snowflake punch: Tonic Studios

Glitter: Crystal Stickles

Buttons: from stash

Pearls: Kaisercraft
