Flower frenzy

I made this card for the challenge over at CES this week; does 6 flowers count as a frenzy?!  It’s more than I normally have on my cards anyway.  If anyone thinks the card looks familiar, it was based on a design I saw a while back in a card making magazine.

The flowers are a combination of foundation white blooms (from Wild Orchid Crafts) inked with Tim Holtz distress inks, seam binding rolled up into ‘roses’ and a crochet flower courtesy of my mother-in-law.  Here is a close up of the flowers;

I would like to enter the card in the following challenges;

1) CES Challenge (flower frenzy)

2) Papertake Weekly (anything goes)

Ok, that’s my very quick post for tonight so thanks for stopping by,

Lots of pink!

Woohoo, it’s Friday!  And I have Monday off so am looking forward to a whole 3 days of crafting, although I suppose I should do some housework as well 😉

I thought I would start by sharing this card I made using the super cute Princess Anya (No. 2) from The Greeting Farm and my gorgeous new Lost & Found: Madison Avenue paper pad from MME.

I stamped the image onto patterned paper so I could paper piece the dress and crown then added a little bit of shading with a ProMarker although this doesn’t show up too well on the photo.  Here’s a close-up anyway;

I have just bought some foundation white blooms from Wild Orchid Crafts and had fun inking, chalking and stamping on them to see what effects I could achieve; I think you might be seeing quite a lot of them on my cards now!  The one on this card was chalked with pink and brown chalks and stamped with a script stamp in brown ink.  I used a paper strip punched with a Martha Stewart punch, some pink seam binding and pearls, also from Wild Orchid Crafts, to finish it off.

I am entering the card in the following challenges;

1) Wild Orchid (white + 1 – that will be pink in my case!)

2) Simon says Stamp (anything goes)

3) TGF Farm Fresh Monday (anything goes)

Hope you all enjoy a fabulous weekend,
