So hard to choose…

Hi all,

Lili’s Little Fairies challenge this week is to use your favourite Lili of the Valley stamp and this was a real dilemma because I love them all!  Eventually I decided on this cute little bear as he is so versatile and works for birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Mothers’ Day etc. etc.

I coloured the image with ProMarkers and kept the layout simple using Stella and Rose MME papers, hand stitching and some seam binding, which I pleated, and pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Here is a close up of the little bear;

I would like to enter the card in the following challenges;

1) Lili of theValley (favourite stamp)

2) I love ProMarkers (cute and cuddly)

3) Wild Orchid Crafts (anything goes)

Thanks for looking!

Engagement card commission

My sister-in-law requested an engagement card for some friends in neutral colours like green and brown.  I knew she liked the Indigo Blu heart stamp I had so I teamed that up with some MME and Kaisercraft papers.  And of course, I couldn’t resist using my new Martha Stewart doily lace edge punch!

I had to keep the whole thing as flat as I could since it has to get through the post twice; first to my sister-in-law and then to her friends.  So, I mustered up my willpower and limited myself to a couple of tiny pearls on the stamp!

Here is a close up of the stamp;

I would like to enter the card in the following challenges;

1) The Pink Elephant (hearts)

2) Penny Black and more at Allsorts (love and hearts)

Thanks for stopping by,

Christmas thank you cards

I had several thank you cards to make after all the lovely presents I had for Christmas, including some new craft stuff of course!

The papers are from my lovely new Sunshine collection paper pad by MME and I have distressed the edges with sandpaper.  I cut the flower layers from pages of an old book using my Cricut and scrunched and chalked them to go with the distressed feel to the card.

Here’s a close up of the flower;

I would like to enter the card in the following challenges;

1) The Pink Elephant (anything goes)

2) Papertake weekly (anything goes + something new – my new DPs!)

3) Truly Scrumptious (shabby pastels and paints)

Cheeky nurse

I made this for a work colleague to give to a friend with a broken leg.  Since it was for a bloke I left off the usual ribbons, pearls, flowers etc – that took a lot of willpower I can tell you!  I did get to use my new Martha Stewart loopy edge punch though!

The stamp is Cheeky Howdy from The Greeting Farm but I masked off the cherries in her hair and added a little old fashioned nurses’ hat instead.  I could have just bought the Cheeky Nurse stamp but I really can’t afford to spend any more money on craft stuff right now so I made do with what I had and am very happy with how it came out.

As usual the image is coloured with ProMarkers and I just added a little chalk shading to the edge of the DPs, which are MME Stella and Rose (Mabel) collection.

I am entering the card in the following challenges;

1) Simon Says Stamp (anything goes)

2) I love ProMarkers (anything goes)

Happy New Year to everyone!
