Cheeky Geeky

Good morning all,

Yes, I know it’s a bit early but I have lots of chores to do today (mostly painting the spare room) so thought I would do something nice first 🙂  Plus I was dying to share my first card made with my new Cheeky Geeky stamp from The Greeting Farm which I fell in love with as soon as I saw it 😀  I have coloured the image with ProMarkers (apart from paper piecing the hairband) and used this lovely sketch from the Papertake Weekly Challenge;

So, here is my take on the sketch, which I have rotated 90 degrees to the left;

Card recipe;

 Stamp:  Cheeky Geeky(TGF), from Dies to Die For

DP: MME Fine and Dandy, Tickled Pink

Flower/bakers twine/pearl brad: Wild Orchid Crafts

Sentiment: Big Sentiments by Personal Impressions

I would like to enter the card in the following challenges;

1) Papertake Weekly (sketch)

2) Die-ing for a challenge (pink and green)

3) Sweet Stampin’ (scallops)

4) Anyone for Anya (use a stamp/image you haven’t used yet … or recently!)

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments,

Cheeky Christmas

I almost bought this stamp from The Greeting Farm last year but had already spent a lot of money on Christmas goodies so it had to wait until this year!  I coloured the gorgeous Cheeky Xmas with ProMarkers and cut her out with a little white border.

I thought I would try my hand at a stepper card and had fun layering the swirls and snowflakes (cut with Marianne Design dies) on the different sections. Here is an angled view so you can see the layers better;

I am entering the card in the following challenges;

1) I Love ProMarkers (shaped card)

2) Anyone for Anya (Christmas)

3) ABC Christmas Challenge (Yippee! – anything christmassy)

Hope you are all having as much fun making Christmas cards as I am!

Taking a break from Christmas cards

I took today off work as I had the tail end of a migraine from yesterday but did manage to take some photos of a card that I made a couple of days ago.  I needed a little break from making Christmas cards and decided to ink up the gorgeous Cheeky Howdy stamp from The Greeting Farm.

I actually had this stamp in mind when I bought the checked paper and it teamed up beautifully with some Kraft card and hand stitching plus a few pretty embellishments.

Here is a close up of Cheeky Howdy;

I would like to enter the card in the following challenges;

1) Anyone for Anya (thank you)

2) The Pink Elephant (thanks)

3) I Love Promarkers (anything goes)

Hope you enjoyed the card!

Wedding card no.2

Oops, it took a bit longer than intended to finish this wedding card for my colleague as I got sidetracked making Christmas cards!  I wanted this cute digi from The Greeting Farm as soon as I saw it and this was the perfect excuse to get it.  I coloured it with ProMarkers and am even happy with how the hair turned out; I often struggle with this.  I kept the layout really simple with some pretty Capella collection paper from Basic Grey, Kraft card and a few old buttons from my grandmother’s collection.

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp! challenge this week, which is ‘buttons.’

Well, this is another first for me; my first use of digi stamps and where better to start than the super cute Spooktacular set by The Greeting Farm!

I made these little Halloween treat bags for my niece and nephews (guess whose is the one with the pretty lace?!) based on the colours in the Anyone For Anya photo inspiration challenge but due to a problem with InLinkz I didn’t get to enter it 😦

However, it matched a couple of other challenges so I am entering it in the following;

1) Simon Says Stamp (Halloween theme)

2) The Greeting Farm, Farm Fresh Monday Fun-day (black, white and one other colour)

Well, the kids seemed to like them so hope you do too!

First challenge card

Super Anya

I made this card for my very first challenge, an ‘Anyone for Anya’ sketch challenge, and was very excited to make the top 3 with it 🙂

This is one of my favourite colour combinations and is finished off with a little bit of sparkle!
