Feeling springy?

Hello lovely people,

Firstly I want to say thank you to Sharon for becoming my latest follower – it’s lovely to have you along 🙂

I hope you all had a good ‘hump’ day 🙂  I am lucky that I don’t work Wednesdays but I didn’t think I would have much time for crafting today as I had a number of chores to do like shopping 😦 The weather was kind enough to let me pop out into the garden and do a little more tidying and plant my seed potatoes.  My broad bean seeds are now sprouting and the garden is full of hellebores, pulmonaria and primroses so it is feeling a lot more spring-like now – yay!

So, this is a card I made for Mother’s Day and it is aptly spring-like…

This was for my mother and I tried to keep to a ‘clean’ style that I know she likes.  Did you spot my wandering pearl?!  I finished the card and took the pictures in a bit of a rush and totally didn’t notice it – sorry Mum for the imperfection!

I have coloured the gorgeous LOTV stamp with ProMarkers and the flower centres have a little dash of Frosted Lace Stickles on them.

For Mum

Hello lovely people,

Today I have my DT card for Totally Gorjuss to share with you and the theme is ‘For Mum’ which of course ties in very neatly with Mothers’ Day tomorrow.   This week we are sponsored by Crafters Companion so you will be spoilt for choice if you win!

I have used a new stamp from LOTV and isn’t this little bear a cutie?

Butterfly trio

Hello lovely people,

After all the wonderful and generous presents I had for Christmas I needed to make some thank you cards and I thought I would give myself a little challenge to use up some scraps of old DP…to make space for some new DP of course 😉

butterfly thank you

I made 3 cards all using the same elements such as the fishtails, crimped butterfly, rounded corner and the same stamped sentiment and they just came together so quickly.  I love when that happens!

Butterfly

Hello,

I just had to take a break from wedding cards again and do something completely different so went back to a favourite MME pad to create this butterfly card.  I have distressed the edges of the DPs with sandpaper and added the stitching by hand.  Given how much I stitch on my cards I often wonder if I should get a sewing machine but I kind of like doing it by hand, usually in front of the TV 🙂

Card recipe;

DPs: MME Lost & Found 2 (Sunshine)

Butterflies: cut by hand with chalked edges

Label shape: cut with Cricut

Text: created in Word and printed

Pearls: Wild Orchid Crafts

I am entering the card in the following challenges;

1) Papertake Weekly (anything goes)

2) ABC (Surprise!)

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments,

Kat
