Shop till you drop!

Hi all,

WARNING: long post with lots of photos coming up…

As soon as I saw this stamp I thought of my sister-in-law and have had it in my stash waiting to use it for a few months!  Finally I was able to ink it up and make this easel card.

The papers are all MME Sunshine and the corner stamps are from the Grunge Corners set from Lili of the Valley Grunge – love these so much!  The image is, of course, coloured with ProMarkers and I used the same ProMarkers to colour the foundation blooms from Wild Orchid Crafts then dabbed some more ink on the edges. Finally some seam binding and pearls finished it all off.

Here is a close up of the image;

I also made a little tag using  some leftover scraps of paper, a crochet flower that my mother-in-law made and a couple more foundation blooms.

I have seen several tutorials for folding/rolling ribbon to make flowers so I had a go with some seam binding and that’s what ended up as the centre of the crochet flower!  Here’s a close up of the pretty flowers;

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges;

Krafty bunny

Hello all,

Hasn’t it been such a gorgeous weekend?  I have so many birthday cards to make for March/April that I have mostly been enjoying the sunshine out of the window but did get out in the garden for a while to do some tidying up.

So this card actually isn’t for any of the many forthcoming birthdays (oops!) and is one I made for a couple of challenges instead;

The bunny stamp from Lili of the Valley is coloured with ProMarkers and layered onto First Edition Isabelle papers which have been sanded around the edges.  The loopy edge is a Martha Stewart punch and the bakers twine is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Here’s a close up of the bunny;

I would like to enter the card in the following challenges;

1) Papertake Weekly (Get Krafty)

2) Sweet Stampin’ (Masculine)

Cute heart

Just a quick little post from me (second one today – ooh, get me!) to share this simple heart card that I made;

I cut the heart from corrugated card and wrapped it with lace from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The heart button was made by my sister-in-law and was originally plain cream until I coloured it with a pink ProMarker then wiped off the excess to get ink into the cracks for a more textured look. Here is a close up of the heart;

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges;

1) By the Cute and Girly (Love is in the air)

2) Papertake (Anything goes plus optional love/heart)

3) Truly Scrumptious (Love and hearts)

Back after a little break (literally…)

Hello all!

Wow, it has been a while since I posted anything but I have had other things on my mind.  I went skiing in January and my poor husband broke his leg so I have been taking him to appointments and looking after him since then.

Anyway, back to the crafting and I have made a Valentine’s Day card for my invalid;

He doesn’t like too many bits and bobs on cards so I kept it clean and simple with just some stitching and a button for embellishment.  The image is from Lili of the Valley (the matching sentiment comes with it) and is coloured with ProMarkers.

Here is a close up of the gorgeous image;

I would like to enter the card in the following challenges;

1) Stampalot  (In the garden)

2) I Love ProMarkers (Love is in the air)

3) Simon Says Stamp (Love is in the air)

Big hugs,
