Unbelievably this is my second card of the day so if you are looking for my Totally Gorjuss GDT card then scroll on down…
When I saw the theme for the Tiddly Inks challenge this week it was the perfect excuse to get another one of their gorgeous digistamps and I have picked Wryn – Fairy Friends; isn’t she just the cutest? I have coloured her with ProMarkers and FlexMarkers and just added a tiny bit of TH Frayed Burlap ink round the edges of the DP panels.
The theme at Totally Gorjuss this week is flowers and we have two lovely sponsors; The Ribbon Girl and Bugaboo. I have used this sweet image called Fancy SB Flowers from Bugaboo and as usual, it is coloured with Promarkers, the edges of the DP are inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap, and the stitching was done by hand. I intended to add a sentiment but it just didn’t look right wherever I put it so I gave up and left it off!
I am super excited to have been picked for a guest DT spot at Totally Gorjuss Challenge and especially to work with the lovely talented DT ladies who have been so welcoming 🙂
Our challenge for this week is KISS, which prompted some debate as to what exactly this stood for; I’m going with Keep it Sweet and Simple and have made 2 new baby cards.
The baby clothes were cut using my Cricut and raised up on sticky foam pads. I drew the washing line and the line around the clothes with a fineliner then added stitching round the panel and layered it onto the base card. I nearly added some cute mini pegs but the scale would have been all wrong (yes, I am that picky – lol) and I quite like to keep my cards fairly flat for easier posting!
It seems that having inked this stamp up once I can’t put it down! So, here is another card I made but this time I paper pieced the dresses; it was a little bit fiddly to cut them out but worth it for the end result. Not much colouring needed with my ProMarkers after that and the rest of the card just fell into place 🙂
Woohoo, I have a brand new Kraftin’ Kimmie stamp and isn’t it just fabulous?!
I don’t know what made me choose the colour combination as it is not one I go for much; some very belated Halloween influence perhaps! I have coloured the image with ProMarkers and inked the panels lightly with black ink.
I am also loving the trend for fishtails at the moment as you may have spotted from my recent posts 😉 so I have managed to get a couple in here!
After all the wonderful and generous presents I had for Christmas I needed to make some thank you cards and I thought I would give myself a little challenge to use up some scraps of old DP…to make space for some new DP of course 😉
I made 3 cards all using the same elements such as the fishtails, crimped butterfly, rounded corner and the same stamped sentiment and they just came together so quickly. I love when that happens!
