Cheeky birthday greetings

Hello lovely people,

The weekend rolls around again and the theme at Totally Gorjuss this week is ‘For Your Men’….yes, always a tough one I know!   Our sponsor this week is Heather’s Hobbie Haven so the lucky winner will have plenty of loveliness to choose from 🙂

I think most men would appreciate Cheeky Geeky from TGF and she is the star of the show here, coloured in with ProMarkers/FlexMarkers.  I made the little ticket by printing the blank ticket image onto Kraft card, cutting it out and stamping the sentiment on it.

Something a bit different

I have recently been putting my craft supplies to a slightly different use by making graphics for a game that my husband has developed for Android phones and tablets.  It has just been released and I am soooo proud of him for the way it has turned out and very excited to have been a part of it.

Head Spin is a fun platform game where you roll your head along by tilting the screen and jump by touching the screen and you can get a feel for it in this 1 minute video;

If you want to know more then please visit the Stone Baked Games blog or just go and download the game for free from Google Play!

Thanks for your interest!

Birthday princess

Just a quick post from me to share the card I made for my niece’s 4th birthday using Princess Anya (No. 2) from The Greeting Farm.

The castle is cut from Bazzill card and Anya has been coloured with ProMarkers, cut out and stuck on with foam pads to add a bit of dimension.  Here is a side view so you can see the bunting which I cut using my Cricut and the little pearls I added to the die cut border;

I would like to enter the card in the following challenges;

1) By the Cute and Girly (Once upon a time)

2) ABC Challenge (Magical)

3) Simon Says Stamp (use your favourite tool – my Cricut!)

Time for a cup of coffee now I think 🙂

Sew special

Hello all!

I always have fun creating cards for my mother-in-law as she also makes cards.  I thought the slightly distressed vintage feel to this card was perfect for her birthday especially as she is also good with a needle and thread…and knitting/crochet needles…and many other crafty things!

The papers are all from the MME Sunshine paper pad and I cut the dressmaker’s dummy out by hand from the script paper and some Kraft card.  The lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used a small length of it to make the rosette topped with a button from my grandmother’s old stash.  Here is a close up of the embellishments;

I would like to enter the card in the following challenges;

1) Papertake Weekly (anything goes)

2) Truly Scrumptious (lace)

Thanks so much for looking,

Cheeky nurse

I made this for a work colleague to give to a friend with a broken leg.  Since it was for a bloke I left off the usual ribbons, pearls, flowers etc – that took a lot of willpower I can tell you!  I did get to use my new Martha Stewart loopy edge punch though!

The stamp is Cheeky Howdy from The Greeting Farm but I masked off the cherries in her hair and added a little old fashioned nurses’ hat instead.  I could have just bought the Cheeky Nurse stamp but I really can’t afford to spend any more money on craft stuff right now so I made do with what I had and am very happy with how it came out.

As usual the image is coloured with ProMarkers and I just added a little chalk shading to the edge of the DPs, which are MME Stella and Rose (Mabel) collection.

I am entering the card in the following challenges;

1) Simon Says Stamp (anything goes)

2) I love ProMarkers (anything goes)

Happy New Year to everyone!

Cosy bunnies

Well, here is yet another Christmas card!  This cosy little bunnies stamp is one of last year’s Lili of the Valley christmas stamps but I only bought it this year!  I can’t quite believe I made a card without any DPs; that is so not me!  The image is coloured with ProMarkers and I have added glossy accents and white glitter to the hats.

I took a lovely photo of this card earlier but my computer somehow corrupted the file and I have had to re-take it now it is dark so doesn’t work very well – boo 😦  It is better if you click on the pic for a larger view though.

I am entering the card in the following challenges;

1) Lili of the Valley (all creatures great and small)

2) Penny Black and more at Allsorts (all creatures great and small)
