Christmas tags

Hello lovely people,

Having finished all the Christmas cards, it was on to the tags and I made a set of co-ordinating tags using the fab Cricut cartridge ‘Lacy Labels’ for the base shapes.    I stitched around the panels and edged everything with TH Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.  The rosette was made using an edge punch on a strip of paper and then I folded it by hand at equal spacing.

Skiing

Hello lovely people,

I am writing this whilst sat on the floor of the lounge as my other half is not enjoying a day off like me and is working hard at the desk. Unfortunately that also means he is using our one and only mouse so I have the pleasure of blogging using only the trackpad – oh joy!  Yes, I know we should just buy another mouse!

I can’t complain too much though as I have a day off to craft 🙂  It is possible this will be the last Christmas card I make this year and I have used a sweet LOTV stamp, perfect for my brother who enjoys skiing.

I have coloured the image with ProMarkers and inked all the elements with TH Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap.

Red and Green

Hello lovely people,

This is another lovely LOTV stamp that is a few years old but soooo gorgeous and I thought it would go perfectly with the traditional red and green colours of my beautiful new Maja paper.

bunnies and tree

I have added some white glitter shaken into Glossy Accents on the snow at the bottom but you can’t really see it in the photos; it is quite pretty in real life, honest!

Little helpers

Hello lovely people,

Here is another simple Christmas card using a sweet digital stamp from Pink Petticoat, which I have coloured with ProMarkers.

trees and robins

I have added little spots of glitter over the dots around the stars but could not get it to show up very well in the photos.  Maybe you can just about see it here, if you squint(!);

A simple snowflake

Hello lovely people,

I designed this simple snowflake card for ease of mass production as it is not always possible to create complex stamped and coloured cards for everyone, no matter how much I would like to.  And you know what, I really like this one!

A pastel Christmas card

Hello lovely people,

I have been busy creating some simple Christmas cards that I could easily mass produce so I wanted to do something that was a bit more effort, using my all time favourite LOTV Christmas stamp.  I used pastel colours to fit the theme at Lili’s Little Fairies Challenge and this sketch from the Papertake Weekly Challenge as my layout inspiration;

https://i2.wp.com/4.bp.blogspot.com/-aS0KzTIWpD4/Tv42iWT1kyI/AAAAAAAAMNM/mmocJ5IRfVs/s400/sketch+%252365.jpg

I haven’t done many pastel Christmas cards but loved how this one came out especially with the edges distressed with sandpaper and some stitching.

I have used ProMarkers to colour the image; don’t you just love the sweet little bunnies all snuggled up in their stocking?!

Don’t be square!

Hello lovely people,

Wow, I don’t often manage 2 blog posts in a day, but here I am again!  This time I am sharing my card for the Totally Gorjuss Challenge, which is to make anything but a square card.  I have gone for a little wintery scene on a circle card.  I love how the little button/pearl tree came out 🙂

Card recipe;

Snowflake punch: Tonic Studios

Glitter: Crystal Stickles

Buttons: from stash

Pearls: Kaisercraft
